What is eyebrow microblading?
Microblading is a micropigmentation technique that deposits pigment in the surface layer of the skin with fine strokes that mimic natural hair. It helps define the shape of the brow and gives the appearance of a fuller brow, without daily makeup. It is semi-permanent: the pigment fades gradually and is refreshed with touch-ups.
At MOSS the house variant is called Envy Brows (3D Microblading, Extreme Natural Look), created by Maryge Olaves, APRN and Master in Micropigmentation, who personally trains every specialist on the team. Alongside hair-stroke work we also offer shading, for a soft powder effect, and the combo, which brings both together. Which one suits your skin is decided at your evaluation; results vary from person to person.
Who is it for?
For anyone who wants a better-defined brow shape and would rather skip daily makeup: sparse brows, asymmetric brows, gaps left by old waxing habits, or simply a shape that isn't what you're looking for.
It isn't right for every case or every skin type. A prior evaluation, free and about 15 minutes long, determines whether the treatment is right for you, which technique fits and what the design would look like. If you have a health condition, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, mention it at the evaluation: the practitioner assesses each case individually.
What is the appointment like, step by step?
The session starts with the design: the shape of your face is studied and the brow is drawn with you before anything is applied. Work continues only once you're happy with the shape.
Topical numbing is then applied and we wait for it to take effect. That's why the visit runs longer than the calendar shows: we set aside around 30 extra minutes of preparation on top of the working time. All in, plan for an hour and a half to two hours.
At the end you get the aftercare instructions, which are a large part of the result. The first review is usually scheduled around 45 days later, to see how the area healed and adjust colour and shape.
A $50 deposit is required to hold appointments over $100, and it goes toward your service. You can move or cancel with at least 48 hours' notice; inside that window the deposit is non-refundable.

Who performs the treatment?
Microblading at MOSS is performed by the team of PMU artists led and trained by Maryge Olaves, an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), board certified in aesthetics by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine and creator of the Envy Brows technique. Every specialist on the team trains with her in the house technique. When you book, we assign the specialist available for your date. The amount can vary depending on who performs the work, which is why pricing is always given as a starting point.
